If you loved the awkward and weird comedy of Jermaine Clement of Flight of the Concords and enjoyed his quirky romantic comedy, Eagle Vs. Shark, written and directed by Taika Waititi, then the news of their new vampire comedy in the works may excite you.
In an interview with IndieWire, Waititi briefly discussed the vampire project that he and Clement would love to bring to the screen. The pair has been developing the unnamed project for the past six years, as the vampire craze has blown up all over the small and big screens.
The writer and director joked , “We really thought, oh, you know, no one’s doing vampire movies!..It’s taken so long that vampires are now very uncool… But we’re hoping to get a chance to make it.”
Waititi did not delve too much into the project, only confirming that it would be a comedy.
