When I met Rowdy Roddy Piper this past October, I was in awe as I watched him put my younger brother into a sleeper hold, while wearing a neck brace. In that moment, I learned that Roddy Piper is still a bad ass mofo, and he always will be. My favorite film of his is of course, They Live, and now Piper is once again killing aliens in his new flick, Alien Opponent.
The film, produced by Synthetic Cinema and directed by Colin Theys, follows a group of individuals who try to kill an alien that crash-lands in the middle of a junkyard. The junkyard’s owner offers a $100,000 reward for anyone who can get rid of the unknown species, and Piper plays a priest intent on finishing the job. Along with the wrestler, Jeremy London plays one of the men after the bounty.
The film is produced by the same team that brought us Steve Niles’ Remains, which aired on Chiller. The film will hit shelves on April 3 and from the looks of the trailer, it looks like it is going to be one awesomely bad movie!
