Slavery was a harrowing and painful time in itself but imagine if the spirits of all who perished and suffered during that time could come back and seek revenge. Upcoming author, Deno Sandz takes that supernatural element and adds it along with his recollection of the history of slavery in his new thriller, Blood Plantation. The book is available now on Amazon.
Blood Plantation is set at a Bed&Breakfast in Virginia, which is owned by the great, great, great granddaughter of Captain Rollins the 3rd. The residence was once known as “the big house” of the plantation, where fifty years ago, many lost their lives, including the slave, SOTO (The Shores of the Evil Soul).
In 1810, SOTO watched as his wife and crew members were killed by Rollins and then he met his own fate after being captured and thrown overboard by the plantation owner. Now, the vengeful spirit of SOTO has come back to take revenge on all those in Rollins’ family, starting with his granddaughter and her husband.
Sandz hopes that his newest novel will, ” Inflict remembrance and have readers examine the reality of history with a fictional supernatural eye.” The story follows a love between a husband and wife, an evil that can never be forgiven, and a spirit that will never die.
The author, originally from the South, now resides in Chicago, Illinois. The father of six has been writing for the past ten years and has published the following works: “Miss Mary Weather: A Southern Nightmare”; “Pen of Iniquity”; “I,AM”.
