As if high school wasn’t bad enough, imagine going through those awful years as a zombie. In the new soon-to-be released TV pilot, Zombies & Cheerleaders, audiences will get to see exactly what it’s like for a living corpse to face teenage drama but with a musical twist.
Director Todd Strauss-Schulson (Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas), who is currently working on the upcoming campfest, Final Girls, is also developing and directing the pilot for the zombie coming-of-age series which will air on the Disney channel in 2012. The series was produced by Scrubs and Death Valley alum, Eric Weinberg.
According to Bloody-Disgusting, the show will follow a zombie named Zed who is madly in love with cheerleader Addison. The unique and slightly ridiculous show will follow the pair’s relationship while simultaneously showing how the zombies adapt to teenage life. Man, it must be super hard to make friends when you’re dead.
